Today I spent my day reworking on my homepage to tell my story more effectively and what I stand for. It felt like a task for Sisyphus.

The challenge is that a home page asks you to distill everything you do to be about one thing. As a human however, I am not one thing. I am many things. I have many projects I’m working on.

This is also the challenge with something like LinkedIn. Or Resumes. Or anything that makes you fit with the neat little systems that are setup for others.

What do you do in that case?

Go on JamesClear.com and you see he is about one thing. Atomic Habits. Go on Seth Godin’s website and you see he is about many things. Go on Leo Babauta’s website and you see he is thematically about one thing, but really about many things.

Do I use the Storybrand framework? Some other copywriting technique I’ve mastered over the years?

It all felt so exhausting.

Our home on the internet should be just that…our reflection of who we are. To me that is being a multi-faceted person who does multiple projects.

So after attempting for a long time to make one homepage, I just abandoned that approach (for now). I will be many things for the time being.

I will keep the blog at the center of my site and my life.
